Health Screening 40+ is a free national program for the early detection of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and mental health conditions.
Many of these conditions can develop over a long period without noticeable symptoms, yet they may lead to serious complications such as heart attack, stroke, heart failure, or metabolic disorders.
The purpose of the screening is to identify health risks at an early stage, assess an individual’s overall health, and help people maintain an active and healthy life for years to come.
⬇️ Read below about the updated screening program requirements.
people over 40 years old
patients regardless of the presence of complaints
people who want to check the condition of the heart, blood vessels, metabolism and general risk factors
Consultation with a family doctor, including an assessment of overall health status
Physical examination, including measurement of blood pressure, height, weight, and body mass index (BMI)
Assessment of risk factors for cardiovascular diseases and metabolic disorders using standardized risk assessment tools and questionnaires
Laboratory tests in accordance with the screening program, including indicators related to metabolic health and cardiovascular risk
Personalized recommendations regarding further actions, preventive measures, or the need for additional examinations
Step 1. Check your eligibility. The screening program is available to individuals aged 40 and older. Important! You no longer need to wait 30 calendar days after your birthday to participate. Once you turn 40, you can apply for the program benefits at any time.
Step 2. Apply through Diia or a CNAP and receive funds on your Diia Card. To participate, you must receive the government-provided funds (UAH 2,000) on your card for the Health Screening 40+ program. Without these funds being credited, it is not possible to undergo the screening. From the moment the funds are received, you have exactly two months to use them; otherwise, they will be returned to the state budget.
Step 3. Schedule an appointment at Dokos Medical Center. After the funds have been credited, book your screening through our website, messenger, by phone, or directly at the clinic. You may choose either of our two locations: near Chernihivska Metro Station or Minska Metro Station.
Step 4. Complete the pre-visit questionnaires. The questionnaires will be sent to you after your appointment is confirmed.
Step 5. Visit the clinic on your scheduled day. Upon arrival, inform the reception staff that you are attending the Health Screening 40+ program under the government initiative. All examinations are conducted without long waits and in a comfortable environment.
Step 6. Undergo the screening examination. You will receive a doctor's consultation and complete the necessary diagnostic tests included in the screening program.
Step 7. Receive your results and recommendations. Your doctor will explain the results in clear and understandable language and provide recommendations regarding further steps, preventive measures, or additional examinations if needed.
Previously: Individuals aged 40 and older could apply through Diia and receive UAH 2,000 for the screening program only after 30 calendar days had passed since their birthday.
Now:
The program does not replace regular visits to your family doctor. Instead, it complements routine medical care by providing a more comprehensive assessment of your overall health.
For individuals who do not use electronic services such as Diia, enrollment in the program can be completed through a Center for Administrative Services (CNAP).
