Home Doctor Visits for COVID-19 | On-site Consultation in Kyiv

What is a lung ultrasound?

Lung ultrasound is an effective diagnostic method for COVID-19. It reveals the extent of virus damage to the lung parenchyma and can be performed instead of a CT scan. A lung ultrasound can be performed at home using modern portable devices. The doctor interprets the results right at your bedside. Order a home ultrasound.

Home Treatment: What Body Parameters Should I Monitor?

Constant monitoring of my body’s condition is key to self-discipline for COVID-19 patients. After a positive test, patients should keep a health diary from the first day of illness. COVID-19 patients should record the following parameters: temperature – every 3 hours; oxygen saturation, pulse rate, and respiratory rate – every 4 hours; blood pressure – every 6 hours. The data from the diary should be shown to the doctor during the consultation. Order a home consultation.

Why is a pulse oximeter needed?

Patients with mild to moderate cases are treated at home. It’s important to monitor the progression of the disease from moderate to severe. To do this, you should have a pulse oximeter at home to monitor your blood oxygen levels (saturation) and know when to call a doctor. Remember, if your saturation drops below 92%, call an ambulance. Call a doctor.

What tests are necessary?

On the 6th or 7th day of illness, it’s essential to have the following lab tests to monitor your condition: complete blood count (CBC) and platelets, D-dimer, procalcitonin, CRP, interleukin-6, ferritin, and LDH. Order lab tests for a home visit.
