🧠The symptoms of a stroke are easy to remember with the acronym “MОЗОК”:
M – speech – slurred speech or inability to understand words.
O – face – sudden facial asymmetry or a “crooked” smile.
Z – dizziness – loss of balance, coordination when walking, sharp headache (as if from a blow).
O – eyes – sudden deterioration of vision, double vision.
K – limbs – sudden weakness, numbness, more often on one side. No strength to shake hands or raise arms.
❓What to do before help arrives?
Do not give the victim anything to eat or drink!
Reassure the victim and explain that help is on the way.
Place the patient in the most comfortable position possible (it is recommended to raise the head to an angle of 30 degrees) and ensure they can breathe freely by loosening any tight collars.
Keep a constant watch over the victim until the medics arrive.
If their condition worsens, call emergency medical services again.
If possible, note the time when the signs of stroke appeared.
✅Prevention begins with taking care of your heart and blood vessels, as in 67% of cases, diseases of these organs lead to stroke.
